Though it's too early to know just what styles, fabrics and accessories next year's brides will wear for their walk down the aisle, New York Bridal Week featured a number of looks that are sure to become popular trends in the months ahead.

Top designers showed gowns with voluminous, structured skirts and oversized ruffles, which create a chic princess silhouette.

But modern takes on the princess look were also seen on the runways.

Also presented were dresses with shorter skirts as well as touches of champagne-coloured embroidery and lovely black lace. Another pretty detail came in the form of rosettes, which transform the bride and her wedding gown into a romantic garden of delicate flowers.
